Promotions are marketing strategies aimed at boosting sales, brand visibility, and customer engagement. They often involve special offers, discounts, or limited-time campaigns to attract and retain customers.

ValueBot offers additional parameters for promotions

  • Increased Sales : Promotions can drive immediate purchases by offering discounts or special deals, boosting sales in the short term.
  • Customer Acquisition : Special offers can attract new customers who may not have considered your product or service previously.
  • Brand Awareness : Promotions help raise awareness and visibility, especially when tied to advertising or social media campaigns.
  • Customer Loyalty : Offering exclusive deals or rewards can increase customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Clearance of Stock : Promotions are a great way to clear out old inventory or seasonal products while still making a profit.

ValueBot helps track key elements of the promotion, analyse its effectiveness, and guide future promotional strategies and also provides three types of promotions:

Bill Promotion

Bill promotion is a type of discount where customers receive a reduction on their total purchase amount. This discount is usually applied at checkout, based on the total value of the items bought. These promotions are applied based on the total value of the bill or purchase.

This offers three types of discounts:

  • Direct Discount Percentage on the bill where a specific percentage is deducted from the total amount
  • Direct Discount Amount on the bill where a fixed amount is subtracted from the total cost.
  • Raising a Gift Voucher issuance where a voucher is raised and can be used for future purchases or as a form of credit.

Case1: Direct discount percentage on bill

Discount Range in percentage refers to the limits of discounts available on a product that should be reduced. So enter the discount percentage of 10% in discount percentage field.

Discount Range in Amount refers to the limits of discounts available on a product that should be reduced. So enter the discount amount of 499 in discount amount field.

  • The voucher could be used for the next purchase as to reduce the cost of a purchase. It's a common strategy for increasing customer loyalty and driving repeat business

Create Bill Promotion

  • Select the Bill Promotion option
  • Enter the min and max sale amount for the range setup
  • Enter either discount % or amount in the given field
  • Select the applicable locations for the promotion to that be applied that means you can choose which locations the promotion is valid for
  • Click Save

Edit a Bill Promotion

  • Go to the Promotions

Delete a Bill Promotion

Buy X Get Y

Buy X Get Y promotion offers a deal where customers receive a free item (Y) after purchasing a specified quantity of another item (X). For example, Buy 2, Get 1 Free means you pay for two items and get a third one for free.

In this type of offer, the customer gets a discount on the Y product(s) after purchasing X quantity of an item. This type of offer can come with two types of discounts:

  • Based on Discount Percentage or Discount amount
  • Fixed amount

For Same Product: The offer applies to the same product (e.g., buying 3 t-shirts to get 1 free t-shirt).

For Any Products: The offer can apply to any products that offer is applied (e.g., buying 2 bags to get 1 pair of shoes at a discount).

Case1: Buy X Get Y (Discount-based)

In this type of offer, the customer receives a discount based on the percentage of the Y item once they purchase X quantity of the Y product or another related product.

For Example: Buy 2 t-shirts, get 1 t-shirt at 50% off. Here's the information presented in a tabular form:

  • Select the Buy X Get Y option
  • Buy quantity - Enter the quantity that should be purchased
  • Get quantity - Enter the quantity that should be going for free
  • Enter either percentage or amount in the fields that is provided
  • Select the applicable locations for the promotion to that be applied that means you can choose which locations the promotion is valid for
  • Click Save

Edit a Buy X Get Y Promotion

  • Go to the Promotions

This means a type of promotional offer the more you purchase, the more you get in terms of products, discounts, or added value. Here’s a breakdown of how it usually works:

  • Quantity-Based Offers
  • Discount-Based Offers

For Same Product: The offer applies to the same product (e.g., buying 3 t-shirts to get 1 free t-shirt).

For Any Products: The offer can apply to any products that offer is applied (e.g., buying 2 bags to get 1 pair of shoes at a discount).

Case1: Quantity-Based Offers:

This means that for every set amount of products you buy, you receive extra items for free. It encourages customers to buy in larger quantities.

  • Select the Buy More Get More promotion option
  • Buy quantity - Enter the quantity at should be purchased
  • Enter either percentage or amount in the fields that is provided
  • Click Apply for saving the details
  • Select the applicable locations for the promotion to that be applied that means you can choose which locations the promotion is valid for
  • Click Save

Edit a Buy X Get Y Promotion

  • Go to the Promotions
